Customer Reviews
Pros|- Staff were absolutely superb - probably the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. Incredibly welcoming, pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble. |- Location is great. A short walk from Piccadilly station and close to all the bars and restaurants on Oxford Road. |- Comfortable rooms - shower worked well, bed was comfortable, everything worked. |- They offer late checkout - handy after a late night. |- Great positioning of the hotel - despite being on the ground floor, there was virtually no residual noise and more or less absolute privacy as I wasn’t overlooked. |- Rooms had climate control so temperature wasn’t a problem. ||Cons|- I found the rooms (certainly the one I had) rather compact. I also kindly got an upgrade to one of their newly refurbed rooms. Whilst they look good and have very nice bathrooms, the layout means you get an incredibly small desk and overall it was a little snug.||Came up to Manchester for a gig at the deaf institute and have absolutely no regrets about my choice of hotel. Not only was it a 5 minute walk from the venue, the hotel was spot on in all other aspects. Thankfully I had my own room, but sharing would have been a challenge due to the limited space. ||Overall, if you don’t mind a more compact room (you might not have this - some are bigger according to the floor plan) and you want a comfortable, clean hotel near Oxford Road, then I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
From the minute you walk in you are welcomed by lovely staff, the rooms are abit rundown but brilliant for 1/2 nights. Beds are extremely comfy& soft. This hotel has definitely improved since the last time I visited a few years ago. |We had breakfast which was lovely, not to much food like some places, always kept topping the food up aswell until 9:45 (breakfast finishes at 10). Staff friendly and attentive and always happy to help. |I also felt safe that they now have a security guard who works at the hotel on an evening which made me feel a lot more secure.
