A small Italian coffee shop near MediaCity, serving espresso drinks like lattes alongside freshly baked pastries and cannoli. The menu includes brunch dishes with Italian influences, such as nduja eggs and focaccia. There are options for custom orders, including omelettes with salmon. The space welcomes dogs, occasionally providing puppuccinos. Simple Italian breakfasts and baked goods are available, with dishes like lasagna also appearing on the menu.

This has become my go-to breakfast/brunch spot, can’t recommend it enough! Great vibes and a fantastic location in the heart of MediaCity. The food is consistently 10/10. This time we had the Nduja Eggs, and I tried the L’Orto, which I believe is a new vegan option – roasted courgette and artichokes, sott’olio cherry tomatoes with crushed hazelnuts. It’s genuinely one of the best vegan brunch dishes I’ve had. the hazelnuts add a brilliant depth of flavour. I’d recommend it even if you’re not vegan. Plenty of drink options too. It’s also dog-friendly, which means I can bring my dog along. The space itself is lovely and there’s even a section selling Italian foods and goods. It can become a bit cramped at times and service can be slow as you order at the till, but it’s definitely worth it.
This is without a doubt my favorite breakfast spot. Friendly staff, excellent chefs, great fresh products! I asked an omlet with salmon, something that is not on the menu and the chef fixed that for me right away. Good coffee. Delicious fruit. We'll definitely be back for our next visit.
Located next to a chain coffee shop that it easily outclasses, Mattina is an elegant café well placed to serve Media City and Lowry Outlet visitors alike. My friend and I arrived at ~11 on a Saturday morning, luckily bagging a table just before the crowds of Christmas shoppers descended. The brunch menu offers some familiar names with an Italian twist (e.g. Eggs in Purgatorio) alongside some intriguing options. I went for Michelangelo's Eggs: Eggs Florentine served with cavolo nero, which works so well in place of spinach on the fluffy ciabatta! My fungi-loving friend ordered the Wakey Wakey 'Shrooms Folded Eggs and was not disappointed: she said the ragù was such an inspired way of cooking the mushrooms, and she's always a sucker for a truffle oil! Our drinks (oat mocha and oat pistachio latte) were also delicious. I'm sure this is a great spot for a caffeine hit for people filming at Dock 10, BBC and ITV studios. We loved the look of the lunch menu, particularly the smoked salmon lasagna and the aubergine focaccia, so we will 100% be back to work our way through the rest of the menu.
