Tesco Express

Worst ever seen in the UK security guard was extremely rude and unprofessional. They aren't checking the cameras for theft they blaming people arrogantly and not caring to keep respect. Shame that UK has such a bad shopping centre in the heart of Manchester.

The lady (Victoria) at the counter was incredibly rude and came across as racist. I can understand if your having a bad day but thats not on the customer. We paid at the counter and asked for change and she was very dismissive with her response. On asking for her name she laughed at us! I didn't know this was how the staff was being trained. The only reason I didn't give 1 star was because the other staff both at the exit and the supervisor we talked to afterwards were very polite and forthcoming.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Tesco on 11 Oct 2025. After buying a gift card for my friend, a female staff member came over and questioned me about whether I had scanned my Clubcard and what payment method I used. She then told me I shouldn’t have scanned my Clubcard and that using a gift card to buy another gift card was “a crime.” I was shocked, I have never heard of such a rule, and it isn’t mentioned anywhere in Tesco’s terms and conditions. What made it worse was how she spoke to me , I couldn’t help but feel that I was being treated differently because I am Asian. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary. If that purchase wasn’t allowed, I would have been happy to void the transaction and pay another way. Tesco should seriously look into staff training on proper communication and anti-discrimination. No customer deserves to be made to feel this way.
