Tried Delhi House Cafe for the first time and really enjoyed the food. The lamb biryani was excellent, with tender meat, fragrant rice, and a very well-balanced use of spices. The butter chicken was also delicious, especially paired with a garlic naan. We sat outside, which was very comfortable, but the service could be improved significantly. When we asked for a chair or stool to place our coats, the server said we couldn’t use any additional chairs and didn’t offer an alternative solution. A bit more thoughtfulness would have made the experience much better.

The location is amazing and the staff are incredibly sweet—but unfortunately, the butter chicken was overwhelmingly sweet, and the black dal was just average. We’re from Bangalore, where expectations for Indian food are ok ok and we tolerate all kinds, and honestly, a place like this wouldn’t last a year there. Saying “ingredients (like chillies, aren’t available in Manchester” doesn’t quite hold, restaurants like Dishoom—also in Manchester—serve a fantastic dal makhani and other standout dishes. Please go easy on the sugar team Delhi Cafe ! Adding cream on everything doesn’t help

I’ve always had an amazing experience on this restaurant. I have been there about 4 times and it was always amazing. Today in particular I was served by Nicola, a sweet girl. She was always attentive and friendly. She was always ensuring everything was okay. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and beautiful decor. The dishes are to die for. I always come and repeat the Paneer Butter Massala with some plain Naan Bread. Totally recommend.
