About

A canal-side pub with a refurbished interior, this spot is known for its broad food menu and a wide selection of drinks, including Thatchers cloudy lemon cider and Guinness. It’s a place where visitors often stop after walks along the canal or nearby Sale Water Park. The pub features a Martin Audio sound system and serves Sunday lunches, with Christmas dinners being a highlight. From time to time, there are quiz events, and the bar includes options for non-alcoholic drinks on tap. The space accommodates large groups, making it a choice for gatherings. Parking nearby is pay and display.

Had a great evening at The Kings Ransom! The place has such a nice, cozy vibe. had a lovely hot chocolate and pints of Guinness — both perfect! Staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. A great spot to chill out by the water and enjoy a quiet drink. Definitely coming back again! 🍺☕

I really enjoy getting the metro tram to sale water park, having a walk along there and then a walk along the canal before finishing with a pint of thatchers cloudy lemon cider innthe Kings Ransom. It's lovely to sit in the canal side beer garden watching the canal boats sail past.

Can happily call the King’s Ransom one of my happiest places to be! A truly lovely and clean pub that’s well furnished, has a great selection of drinks, a broad food menu, Martin Audio sound system and the most superb beer garden- not forgetting the pièce de résistance; the floating barge beer garden. Infact, the whole sun-facing beer garden is excellent and boasts a generous amount of seating, with outdoor bar, and chalet pods with shade. For me, it’s one of those pubs that you can just enjoy sitting at all day long. Live music on a Saturday night, too! My mum and I loved the ABBA tribute lastnight, she already can’t wait to come back. Keep up the great work all, thanks for having us! 🙏
