My Visit to the Great Northern Railway Company Warehouse, Manchester My visit to the Great Northern Railway Company Warehouse in Manchester was both fascinating and enjoyable. This impressive red-brick building, constructed in 1898, once served as a massive railway goods warehouse during the city’s industrial era. Today, it has been beautifully repurposed into a lively entertainment and leisure complex while preserving its original Victorian charm. The architecture is striking — a great example of Manchester’s industrial heritage, with solid stone walls and detailed brickwork. Inside, the complex now houses restaurants, bars, cafes, a cinema, and fitness centers, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. Visitor Tips: Visit in the evening to enjoy the atmosphere when the place comes alive with dining and entertainment options. It’s also a nice area to explore on foot, especially around Deansgate and Peter Street, where there are many nearby attractions. How to Reach: Located on Deansgate, Manchester M3 4EN, the warehouse is easily accessible by tram (Deansgate-Castlefield stop), bus, or a short walk from Manchester Oxford Road or Deansgate railway stations. Parking is also available in the on-site Great Northern car park. A visit to the Great Northern Warehouse offers a perfect blend of history and modern city life — a wonderful example of how Manchester continues to celebrate its industrial past while embracing the present.
It said 25 for 24 hours on the sign and we were charged 56 for 27 hours. How does that work? Also as this is a barrierless site they are taking park in the 'remember to pay ' scam where they fine you if you don't pay in time. The app doesn't work properly. We need to stop this.
NEVER DO A PRE-BOOK AS MORE EXPENSIVE. CHEAPER IF DONE ON ARRIVAL THROUGH THEIR APP !!! READ THIS AS MAY SAVE YOU MONEY !!! From the moment I tried to pre-book a parking space as a new client, it was a nightmare. 1st, I wanted to book with the app but I had to go online for this as could not do it through the app. After doing full payment, webite crashed so would have to pay again. Decided to pay on site instead so asked for a refund which said it was authorized but no value of the refund. Arrived at the site for parking (no where mentioned "Warehouse 2" but rather "2 Car Park" which was confusing). Then noticed if paid through their app is cheaper so I did. Blew my mind when after payment was done, received a message from them saying they will refund what I just paid (which was cheaper) and not the 1st value for the pre-booking (more expensive). NCP if you want to reply to this, don't bother. Your client interface is horrible. Your business structure is poor. Will never use your services ever again.
