About
A green space in Urmston with grassy areas for running and playing, Flixton Park has an enclosed playground for younger children and open fields for football. The park includes remnants of an old golf course and features small artistic touches like bee sculptures and fairy doors. Local volunteers help maintain the gardens, which are bordered by Flixton House. Dogs are walked here, and the space is known for being quiet with little noise beyond passing trains.

Lovely green space that is well maintained. Like most parks some people don’t take their rubbish with them. The football games are great to watch if you like grassroots footy. The old golf course at the back is a dog walkers / joggers haven. But is muddy as hell in the winter.
Flixton Park is a lovely little visit, next to Flixton House. It's not massive but enough for an hour and plenty of grassy area for older kids to run around. The younger area is enclosed by a metal gate and fence, which includes swings and climbing frame slides. For older kids, there is a zip wire, swings and a climbing structure. The gardens are lovely to walk around, not a large area but beautiful regardless. It's cared for by volunteers and they do a fantastic job.
Honestly a beautiful place, no people, lots of space and other than the odd train going past no noise either.
