I visited Alan Miller's last week for an over 60s eye test. I received a nice welcome and the optician who dealt with me, Sally, was excellent. She put me at my ease and answered all my questions as the test proceeded. I had already said that I was going to order my glasses online and only needed the test but decided to have a look at what they offered. I found that similar glasses would cost an extra £200 (£360 to include £60 frames, varifocals, thin lenses on a strong prescription, and transitions) from Millers and could not afford that. I asked for my Pupillary distance to accompany my prescription but the optician said she could not give that to me. I subsequently emailed to again ask for it and said I was willing to pay for the next appointment. However the answer was still no. Having had my test at Millers other opticians would not do this extra test. However I finally found one within walking distance that would, so be careful if wanting online glasses as you will not be helped to do that at Millers.
My elderly dad has been looked after by Alan Miller Opticians for some years now. Both the Receptionists & Opticians have always been very helpful & always go that extra mile. I would strongly recommend Alan Miller Opticians, Salford.
