It’s a nice place and good fun, with great music and well-known DJs. The venue can get quite crowded at times, and the underground areas could benefit from better ventilation. The toilets should be inspected more frequently, although visitors also have a responsibility to keep them clean. I would also recommend more thorough bag and pocket checks at the entrance.
I've been at Joshua Brooks now a few times and can say what an incredible venue it is. The staff are really friendly, and the food is exquisite. I've been so a few of the events they hold their and the atmosphere is next level, the venue can get quite busy, but everyone is courteous and just there for a good time! In my experience, I've never had a bad time, absolute must go if in Manchester! I can't wait to go there again!
Went here while on holiday for a night of dancing and absolutely loved it! Top DJ's playing until the wee hours- Stanton Warriors and Goldie headlined. Downstairs is small, dark, grimey, and perfect. The ceiling will rain when it's packed, the bar service is slower than slow, but you're coming here for the music and people. The mid level was great, less crowded, can get some fresh air, and drinks are easier to grab. We were blown away by the friendliness of all the locals we met, so welcoming and up for a chat. Manchester has a world class nightlife scene and JB's should be on your list if you're coming to party.
