About
A bronze statue of mathematician and wartime codebreaker Alan Turing sits on a bench in a small green space near Manchester’s Gay Village. The memorial includes an information board about his life and achievements, along with a QR code for further details. Visitors can sit beside the sculpture, which depicts Turing holding an apple, for photos. The surrounding garden provides a quiet spot for reflection. The tribute acknowledges his pivotal role in World War II and his contributions to computing, while also recognising the persecution he faced. It’s a short walk from Manchester Art Gallery.

Nice little statue of Alan Turing sat on a park bench, set within a small park. There is an information board next to the memorial giving visitors a bit of information about his life. If you are close by in the area it's worth popping by, but probably not worth a special trip from any sort of distance. Free to visit.
Nice place in the gay Village. The Statue of Alain Turning a Man who changed the story of the 2 nd world war
Worth a visit if you are in the area. Quite near to the Manchester Art Gallery. There is a QR code to scan if you wish. You can sit next to the statue for a photo opportunity with Alan Turing. Well worthwhile for all Alan Turing fans.
