Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly

Pro's and Cons.|Visited for work, we have office close to the station.|Pro's. |Ideal for location/distance to main station.|Check in was simple enough.|The room on appearance was clean and tidy.|The room was quiet enough, but I was far away from elevator and such. |Room fridge, handy to keep a drink cool.|The shower panel was the cleanest I've ever seen, you wouldn't even notice it.||That's roughly where it ends.||Cons.|The room on reflection looks lovely. Big curtains - which you assume will open to a lovely vista. Nope - its just covering a huge wall. Whats the Point. Don't trick people into thinking there's a window, just put up some pictures. |And ironically, to rub it in even more, at night, the massive curtain doesn't actually reach around to the end. So the bed had a lovely beam of light going across it as you tried to sleep. Even when trying to pull it over and rest a chair to cover up the gap. Nope.||Room was cold, fiddled with controls, but no joy. But too late to be dealing with reception to resolve.||Towel hook broken / or missing.||So towel sat on radiator next to shower, which had a lovely sharp/jagged piece of metal coming out of it. Not huge, but enough to cause a significant cut.||Unable to relax, you have a choice of random stool, so can't lean back. Or a wooden chair, which I last saw at school. Neither are comfy to sit on. ||We had a beer in the evening, whilst functional, the lounge in the evening isn't exactly a cosy atmosphere. ||No biscuits, various colleagues had some, some didn't. On the same floor.||When talking to colleagues in morning, they all found the curtain pointless, and everyone was either too hot or cold.||Breakfast was just ok. Staff friendly and welcoming. Coffee was good, proper ground beans. Which goes a long way for me.|Some of a selection, although the fruit platter was somewhat woeful.|And as I was getting granola out of the tumbler gadget, the handle fell off!||Upon checkout, not even a 'was the stay ok'. But there was a thank you.|Leonardo, if you read this, please look at the bathroom issues before someone or some kid just grabs a towel and rips there hand open. |Room 522.||rgds

I booked Leonardos for a girlie stay; went to see Tina Turner story at Palace theatre. A short taxi ride away, 10 minutes depending om traffic. As check in as 3pm, when we arrived, we had drinks while we waited. Quick check in, simple instructions. Room was spacious, plenty of towels & pillows. Great view of the city. Bed was comfy. Room hot but could have adjusted temp controls, if I had thought at the time. Breakfast, we decided the following morning to indulge. £10pp; hot and cold drinks, pastries, cereals to start and hot food buffet style. Excellent! Set us up for the day. Swift check out by handing on the key card. Would definatley stay again.

Amazing experience at the Leonardo Hotel- The staff were so attentive, professional, friendly & so lovely! Dale and Malik really went above & beyond in making sure i was taken care of, helped me with my luggage, great customer service, the breakfast was soo good, as i was a leonardo member i had a complimentary check out, the room was clean, and spacious, mini fridge in the room, shower was amazing, and the onsite gym! everything was 10/10 - it was my second time staying at the leonardos and i will definitely be returning ☺️
