It was cheap, which is nice, well cheap for the times. But I wasn't a fan of just how much they really do rediculously charge for things. Want a simple cup of tea? 3.50 for a tray with a selection thats honestly laughable, the toilet paper insanely cheap and course just, genuinely not good. but the room was clean and cozy. the bed was comfortable which is good. But they've covered all the ports on the TV so you're not even allowed to hookup your laptop to watch netflix or whatever in there what even is the reason for that? I mean honestly. The lack of bathmat by default in the very slippery shower was laughable especially because apparently THEY HAVE mats you just have to ASK for them? It just struck me as them being insanely cheap. I'm not asking for room service or anything, but maybe the BARE MINIMUM of reasonable comfort? I don't want expensive toilet paper, but maybe not the stuff you used to get in SCHOOLS IN THE 90s? Charging 3.50 for just the facility to make a cup of tea is laughable, no glass or even mugs either, paper cups only. Just how cheap can you honestly get? I'm not necessarily upset with my stay, but it was marred by this as americans would say Nickel and Diming atmosphere that was just vaguely uncomfortable. The price was great, but having truly awful toilet paper AND having to pay just to be able to make a cup of tea in my room, AND being unable to watch anything on the TV except freeview because you have mysteriously covered up all ports for no good reason marred a stay that otherwise was satisfactory.

Great stay at the ibis budget Manchester. We travelled a long way and were welcomed by Peter, who was absolutely fantastic — friendly, helpful, and a real credit to the team with excellent customer service. The room was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the location is brilliant — just one quick tram stop into Manchester Central. We also opted for a later checkout after a long day of travelling and a gig, and as parents to two young children it was a much-needed treat. I slept until midday for the first time in years, which says it all! Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Let me just start off with highlighting it has budget in the name so don't come here expecting glam and glitz. The hotel itself is in a prime spot, your 15 mins from city or if your travelling for a game at etihad like us its again 15 min walk straight line, there is a tram stop 3 mins from the stadium, I'd like to add we didnt park the the station as upon reviews I saw cars had been broken into for o apparent reason. We parked at Q parking at piccadilly (10 min walk £17 for 24hrs) Now the room, again its budget it comes with the necessaries I.e towel soaps cups for water. Pillows were a little soft for my liking so ask for a 2nd if your particular. Heating was a blessing as it was -2 outside and you have control for that aswell. If your sharing with friend or kids get comfy real quick as the toilet and shower are not private. Im 6ft 3 and my knees kept the toilet door open (joy for my son) the shower aswell next to the bed. Overall the hotel provided what we needed for an overnight stay the staff appeared friendly and helpful, from what I saw. Traffic noise? There wasnt any we were on the 3rd floor. Will be back again im sure for another weekend away.
