About

Grosvenor House Surgery is a GP practice in Carlisle providing general medical services to registered patients. The practice handles appointments by phone and offers consultations with doctors and nurses. Some patients report positive experiences with treatment received, particularly noting satisfaction with care from certain clinicians. The surgery operates alongside Morton branch surgeries under the same practice. While appointment access has been a point of contention for some, others highlight straightforward interactions when securing consultations. The practice continues to serve a long-standing patient base alongside newer registrations.

Receptionists are sharp and rude when booking an appointment. No issues with actual gp appointment but when asking simple questions the attitude from the receptionist staff is appalling, condescending snd unnecessary. Very strong feeling of being an inconvenience even though that’s the role they’re paid to do. If a person needs further guidance on the processes of booking an appointment that is a perfectly valid question which should be given a respectful response not one reeking of self importance. There is a time and place when an individual is being rude over the phone and such attitude is necessary but in this case it wasn’t so do better.

I have been with the surgery most of my life. Some of the doctors since covid will not even see you, even though we have all been told to tread it like normal now they will only take phon call appointment. I meant how are they supposed to do they job over the bloody phone. The receptionist all ways ask heat it's about and it could be private the only people should know is you and the doctor or nurse your taking to.

After reading so many negative reviews i thought i would comment on my recent and ongoing treatment with Grosvenor house.. Working within the healthcare sector myself I know only too well that negative feedback/comments always get passed on swiftly where the positive ones very often don't... Following an accident at home that resulted in 2 trips to A&E and regular communication with Grosvenor house surgery I have nothing but praise for all the staff that I have communicated with over the last few weeks..Which for me has been an anxious time..Staff have always been polite, helpful and patient focused. I have been treated with kindness, respect and reassurance. Special thanks to everyone who works in reception, for your never ending patience. Each and everyone of you are a credit to the surgery
