We booked Canto Tapas as another January deal option, this time for a catch-up with four friends. The restaurant was absolutely packed when we arrived, which is always a good sign. Unfortunately, we were seated close to the front door, and this did affect the experience a little. People were constantly leaving the door wide open, making it really chilly. I found myself having to turn around every few minutes to politely ask people to close it, which was frustrating and took away from what was otherwise a very enjoyable evening. It would really benefit from something that prevents the door being left wide open or an auto-closing mechanism, especially on cold evenings. Food-wise, we ordered a generous selection between us: sangria, ox cheeks, salt fish croquettes, sea bream in orange, cauliflower, patatas bravas, pork belly, lamb skewers, mushroom croquettes, bread, and a cheese board. Every single dish was beautifully cooked, well presented, and full of flavour, there wasn’t a weak plate among them. Service was excellent. Our waitress, Tamara, was super attentive, friendly, and made us feel really welcome. We never felt rushed, and despite our allotted time technically being up, we were told we were more than welcome to stay, relax, and enjoy ourselves, which was really appreciated. Without the January deal, I’d probably order a little less, as it is on the pricier side for tapas. That said, the quality absolutely justifies the cost. My only real criticism is the door situation once that’s sorted, the experience would be near perfect. Overall, great food, great service, and a lovely place for a relaxed group catch-up. I’d happily return.

The best bottomless brunch I’ve ever had! The service was impeccable and our server “EMMA S” was outstanding! She was so attentive and always came to our table with a smile. She really made our experience one to remember. I’m definitely coming back, thank you “EMMA S” for taking car of us! X

Exquisite food, really friendly staff and super fast service even on a busy night. Food was great value for money as we went during the January 40% off deal. Highlights were the smokey babaghanoush, patatas bravas and the crispy gnocchi. Would go again!
