About
A historic covered shopping court with independent shops in Carlisle city centre, known for its quiet atmosphere away from the main streets. The space includes clothing and jewellery retailers alongside empty units, with walkways connecting the shops. Some visitors note the area’s architectural interest and sense of local history. Nearby, the Markethall provides food options including British curries and Thai dishes. The court remains a spot for window shopping, though some units are vacant. Face masks were previously optional in the covered walkways.
Customer Reviews
Such nice court with couple of shops. Clean and away from hustle bustle of city centre. Just window browsing.
Fabulous historically interesting and architecturally interesting buildings and area. In common with numerous other sites/places in the city you really can get a feel and sense of times past, walking the seemingly ancient cobbled streets surrounding it your imagination is furnished with an almost time travel like realism.
Plenty of shops to look around but many of the food and drink shops have track and trace if you use that, I personally don't like that and many shops have lost out on my money but that's just me not wanting to give personal details that's not necessary, masks and 6ft rule should be more than enough so be warned if shopping here.
