The Lounge Hotel & Bar, Penrith

What a lovely find, we booked about 2/3 hours before we turned up, we arrived late but we were called en route with check in details. The car park is easy to find despite other reviews, big and well signed. the walk down the alley way is a bit long if you have bags to carry. Our room, room 2, was lovely, all freshly redone, all working and as some one else has said , a large TV makes all the difference these days. Breakfast is in a lovely breakfast room, served to order by the wonderful staff, its is not greasy and not over cooked as has been noted elsewhere, it was just perfect with a huge selection of juices , cereals etc to go with if you want. Checkout was a breeze, we met the lovely owner and had a good chat, even though they were busy with breakfast service. Thank you team, we wish you all the success for the future and know we will be back at some point||The only little niggle for us was the physical check in|we booked late 20.00 hours, and arrived at 22.30, we had been called while driving with instructions, and sent a message vis booking.com, but as I was driving we didn't see the message, so some clear verbal instructions on arrival would have been useful|when we arrived, there is an out of numbers hours to call, we knew this and called, but it took an age for some one to arrive, who then gave us a key card and charged off up the stairs leaving us with the bags lagging behind guessing where he had gone, we asked where the car park was "behind" was the response, and then "down the alley" when we asked how to get back to the hotel, luckily we had the car park post code from the website link, easy to find, but not the alley way!!|otherwise an truly excellent stay, thank you

Great hotel I stayed for 2 nights for work and it is truly beautiful in the bar area, the staff were amazing very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfy and it had a fantastic shower to warm up after the really cold weather. Only thing for me was the room was so hot when I arrived and then so cold on the second night. Breakfast was really good with a great selection and both my evening meals were amazing.

My partner & I stayed at the Lounge & Bar Hotel from Fri 30Jan to Sun 1 Feb. We were delighted with our room (25) which was spacious, nicely decorated & spotless. The bed was huge & comfortable & the tv was large with all services available so able to watch a drama series on Netflix. Breakfast was good & the service from a lovely girl named Jesse was excellent. We didn’t experience the restaurant on this occasion as we were visiting nearby towns.
