About

Penrith Hospital provides urgent care and specialist services, including neurology consultations. It handles injuries ranging from knee issues to burns, with a minor injuries unit for immediate treatment. The hospital is known for its efficient triage system and professional reception staff. Patients have noted thorough care for conditions like corneal abrasions and migraines. The paediatric department provides comfort items like teddy bears for young patients. GP referrals are managed alongside emergency cases. The Eden unit deals with longer-term admissions, though communication methods vary. Consultants and nursing teams oversee treatment plans across departments.

Dreadful. Went in unable to walk. Knee went.waited 2 hrs, then told to book app with GP. No knee support given. No help to get from the consulting room to the waiting room to book a taxi as unable to drive home. Had to hop along the corridor . 2 years on ive got my osteo app after poor treatment by the physio dept..thats another review. I go to Newcastle on a regular basis. Recently Lancaster and Kendal and of course Carlisle. No problems.
