About
A dog-friendly café with indoor and outdoor seating, known for its traditional English breakfasts and freshly cooked food. The menu includes soups like Thai sweet potato and butternut squash, pulled pork ciabattas, bacon sandwiches, and Austrian-inspired gröstl. There’s a selection of cakes, including scones, alongside coffee, tea, and beer or wine. The ordering system involves placing a sunflower in a bottle to signal service. It’s a stop for hikers near Derwent Water, serving meals from breakfast through lunch.

Food was excellent. Soup of the day was thai sweet potato & butternut squash and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly and quick to order our food. I really like their system of ordering (putting the sunflower in a wine bottle as a way of showing them you’re ready to order). Definitely recommend!
Came to this cafe straight after the hike we done. Nice place with friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
