We spent four nights at the royal oak with our two large dogs.This is the 4th time we have stayed and each time has been lovely.Staff are always friendly and helpful and the pub is very welcoming towards dogs.Breakfast is a highlight,plenty of choice both buffet and cooked breakfast,including sausages each morning for the dogs.There was renovations under way during our stay but the workmen were polite and considerate and it had no impact on our stay.We were given an upgrade at check in to a suite (room 1)which we had stayed in previously.Lots of space!!,a separate lounge area, two TV,s and a welcome new edition of coffee machine and mini fridge, stocked with drinks and nibbles. Thank you for a lovely break,we will be back soon.
The whole stay is made better by Mariana. She has been at the hotel for years and every year we visit she makes the whole experience for us. Such a kind and friendly face we look forward to seeing her each year. It’s the reason we keep coming back. The breakfast is good too!
