About
A steakhouse serving ribeye and fillet steaks, chateaubriand, and sides like mac and cheese. The menu includes starters, fajitas, and desserts such as brownies. Cocktails and wine are available, though the drinks selection is straightforward. Some diners mention the steak and chips as a reliable choice. The restaurant takes bookings but has accommodated walk-ins.
Customer Reviews
Friendly and accommodating staff, fitted us in on busy weekend even though we didn't have a booking. Ribeye steaks were absolutely superb. Would highly recommend.
Came here for New Years Eve as it’s always been excellent in the past so assumed it was a safe bet. Menu had changed with very poor choices given the time of year. Heard the table next to us saying the exact same thing. Waitress didn’t know what cider was which wasn’t a great start. Due to allergy which can be easily catered for at many other restaurants I was told there was only one dish on the menu I could have. Complained about this but nothing was done as apparently everything contained gluten, it’s a steak house…. Not sure how this was possible but anyway. Ordered some chicken dish which came with one potato and the smallest chicken breast absolutely covered in salt. Bearing in mind this cost £30 I was appalled. Once again complained and the manager didn’t even come over to apologise I was just told this was the price and nothing could be done about it. Terrible from start to finish and definitely not what you expect at what was once a top steak house in the area. Won’t be back unless they change hands.
A news years eve treat wasn't so much a treat but a disappointment. How a local restaurant can charge nearly £130 for two people for what we received is shocking. The young girls waiting on were fine absolute no issues there. The food well I went for some lamb which for the price I was expecting a good feed, instead what I got at best could be described as a taster menu. The taste was ok but absolutely nothing more than just ok. 3 mouthfuls of lamb and one spoonful of mash didn't result in a memorable dish. The other half had a steak, second choice as first one we were told 20 minutes after ordering wasn't available. Her steak was cooked to perfection but had unfortunately been bathed in salt, totally ruing what would have otherwise been a good bit of meat. We did inform the staff of this and asked them to pass to the chef but he/she didn't bother to come apologize or think of knocking anything of the bill. The steak was allegedly served with a warm ceaser salad and some sauce. We're still looking for them. The place was also freezing and lacked any ambiance to reflect the hefty prices. So a very expensive and very disappointing dining experience. Blocks you must try harder !
