Delightful little cafe accessed by an alley from the High Street. Plenty of snack options available including some lunches and teas. Polite and friendly service with basic facilities (incl.pre-school age play area). Good quality food and drinks, with mineral water available for self-service.

We went to this little place, tucked away behind the main street down a narrow passageway, for a light lunch. We decided on double eggs and chips because it was simple, light and relatively good value. We had a brief conversation with the woman who served us (presumably the owner) about the local area and she was very pleasant and conversational. The food took a little time to arrive (we were hungry, and to be honest, a little impatient!), but when it did, we were not disappointed with what we received. The eggs were nice and large, with bright runny yolks, and properly cooked --solid whites, runny yolks (how many times are eggs served snotty?). The chips were well cooked, crisp, freshly cooked and generous. The chips were served on a plate, not in a stupid basket, or ramekin, to make it look like there are more than actually there. For such a simple meal, the food was nicely cooked and well presented, without pretense.

Lovely coffee house tucked down an alleyway Of the main street. Cute play areas both indoors and outdoors for children. The cakes and much of the menu appears to be home-made, and they obviously ring the changes regularly from the number of specials flagged up on the wall. Not a huge choice for vegans like myself, but I enjoyed my jacket potato with beans. Friendly service, nice space and relaxed atmosphere.
