Another little back street pub off the beaten track and a much very welcoming public bar. Venue has 2 dartboards, one either side of the main bar area. So always able to get kn and get a game. Really friendly staff in the place. Good selection of Alcoholic drinks, didn't really look forbthr non-alcoholic drinks as we were away for a weekend session. The drinks are also very reasonably priced. Jukebox is great with a large selection of tunes for the money you put in. £5 and we got 30 tunes, and they had everything we wanted to hear. I would reccomend visiting this pub if you are in Workington.

Not many pubs like this in cities and towns now, but I value wee gems like this when I find one, and will happily go out of my way to return. As a stranger here with work, walking into this pub I was made so welcome straight away just by the staff saying hello, and asking how I am, a little small talk before getting a wonderful pint, which is clearly well kept. Just nice to have traditional pub staff greeting customers in a traditional way that I remember as a younger man 40 years ago. Cracking background music at a reasonable level. I could go on but, I'll stop now, don't want to blether too much but, a wonderful bar. Thank you.
