We were greeted by Vicky who showed us around and assured us she would assist with anything we needed. Lodge was a great size and had everything and more for our few days away. Grounds were lovely and peaceful, and the hot tub was a welcome bonus after days out walking/hiking. Location was great too as only about 25 minutes from the beach, about 15 minutes from the supermarket and similar with Workington harbour. Would definitely book again if visiting this part of the Lake District again.
currently at the stable lodge here, absolutely amazing location! tomorrow is our last day here and we have loved every second. the host vicky is lovely and the lodge is gorgeous! hot tub is very relaxing and the horses love all the head pats :)
Our stay at the Cumberland Lodge was a wonderful experience. We were warmly welcomed by the owner George and offered refreshments. He showed us to our room which was superb. Everything was of the very best quality. The bed was sheer luxury and we had a better sleep than we do at home. So quiet. Our room looked out across the hills. The breakfast served to us was excellent. The friendship from the owners George and Joan was great. We hope to return and we will tell all our friends how great this place is.
