Stayed here with friends for 1 night before starting our C2C cycle to Sunderland.|A warm welcome from the owner, our bikes safely locked away in his garage.|The Building has a very grand feel about it. Unfortunately it could do with some modernising on the carpet, bedding and furniture front. |We had a bedroom at the top of the grand stairs on the 1st floor at the front of the house, large room, large bed(2 singles joined together)|Teeny weeny ensuite, but the shower cubicle a good size. Please put brighter lights in there. |Breakfast was perfect, no fuss cooked breakfast, and plenty.
Rooms clean and Comfortable, at time we booked cheapest place in Whitehaven. Parking can be a bit tight so if you are planning on going out late at night or early morning arrange where to park car first or make sure you can get out later without causing chaos.
My dad and I were doing the Coast to Coast so arrived in Whitehaven quite late ready to start the next day. We were welcomed warmly and our bikes were locked up in a secure garage. Our room was lovely, we both felt really at home and were provided with a lovely cooked breakfast the next day. Would definitely stay again!
