We had such a lovely stay at Glenfield House! Kathy, the owner is so welcoming and kind; nothing is too much trouble. We were also delighted to meet her three dogs, Lily, Flynn and Archie who are all adorable.||Our room overlooking the main road was spacious and comfortable and very well-maintained. There has been a clever use of the space available for the room to have a very smart en suite with an excellent shower. The bed was very comfortable.||Kathy's breakfasts were superb. We had a choice of full or part English, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants and different types of bread including a gluten-free option for my wife.||Glenfield House is very convenient for Whitehaven town centre which is only a few minutes walk away. If travelling by train, we would recommend going to Corkickle which is the nearest railway station only 10 mins walk from the hotel. Whitehaven station is at the other end of town.||We would happily stay at Glenfield House again. Many thanks to Kathy for making our visit so memorable.|
A fabulous little boutique B&B. Cathy is so lovely warm and welcoming as a host nothing is too much trouble. Thanks to her for looking after us during our stay. I have to say Cathy russles up a brilliant full English breakfast too. The trio of dogs are lovely and friendly making the place feel like a home from home. Thanks Cathy we will certainly recommend and stay again when we revisit whitehaven.
Really enjoyed our time here. Our host, Kathy, was super helpful and very kind, in addition to running an excellent B & B. We would absolutely return to Glenfield House when we return to Whitehaven! Breakfast was delicious and prepared to order-I had the Full English breakfast and my wife requested some special treatment of her eggs and Kathy completely accommodated her request with a smile! Very special place!! Love it! Ample parking as well.
