Overall, a really lovely old hotel, but with good refurbishment throughout. The rooms have lovely original features, bathrooms are clean and modern, the lobby and staircase are also great. My only complaint was that I wasn’t able to close the external window to my room (old fashioned double glazing). The temperature or security weren’t an issue, but it did make for a very noisy night in Manchester City Centre. I alerted Reception to this when checking out, so hopefully will be resolved quickly!
I have walked passed this place countless times going to n from the airport now this place is a gem it’s location is just outside Piccadilly station so it’s great for stopping here before a flight or coming back from a late flight I found the location spot on for me the staff were super helpful I got them chocolates had being a diabetic I could feel myself going a bit after a long day travelling but they were fully understood then the rooms wow for the price unreal nice comfy double bed the shower room was fantastic I had a great nights sleep then it was a 15 min walk back to Victoria station so all in all I know where to stop again I had a great nights sleep a great shower a good breakfast great service this place is mint
Omar at the front desk & the housekeeping team were excellent. Their service truly matched the hotel's high standards. Unfortunately, other staff interactions left a bad taste: passive-aggressive behaviour, being hung up on, and unaddressed delays. As a former hospitality worker & being as graceful as possible because of this, I know these issues were avoidable & poorly handled. A great stay in parts, but too inconsistent to confidently rebook.
