About
A Victorian pub with tiled walls and historic murals, this Piccadilly spot was once famed for its extensive whisky selection, including rare independent bottlings and tasting flights. Though the whisky range has changed, it still serves real ales from various breweries alongside pints of Murphy’s and Guinness. The pub has a beer garden and retains an old-fashioned charm, with staff known for their local knowledge—like recommending nearby sandwich spots. The interior reflects its heritage, with nods to its past as a whisky bar.
Customer Reviews
Lovely old pub, beautiful interior. Selection of beer isn’t great if you’re a beer nerd but that’s not the point of the visit. Come for the vibe!
This is still a great pub, but is no longer the whisky pub it once was. The cask ale is still great, with a good number of hand pumps from a nice range of breweries, but the whisky selection has been dramatically reduced since 2024 but is still above average. Regardless, a lovely old school pub, with a lovely atmosphere.
Fantastic pub! This is the first time I have been in 15 years (since when I used to work there), it's just a shame that the whiskeys are gone. But I'm sure there's a reason. Still a cracking pub!
