Comedy Lab

This was an amazing workshop. This particular workshop was in hot water in Liverpool. A really cool venue, where there’s food court at the bottom floor and an Auditorium and stage for comedy on the top. Tom has different workshops on comedy. This one was on comedy writing . John had accompanied him on this workshop. Tom and John were so generous with their resources and workshop. There were so many aspects in regards to comedy writing and comedy he went into, quite in depth too. (some tools and exercises to get ideas fluidly out of you, structure and different formats of comedy, psychology of comedy, how to write your material or for different forms of media and how to write and in what format so the material gets seen by the professionals, how to kickstart your journey) There were so many topics that were brought up by Tom, that brings an awareness in to those topics. This particular workshop was an intensive workshop, across two days. You really feel Tom wanted everyone to start working and to succeed. And gives you so many tools and information to do so. He was also great at breaking the ice and getting you out of your head. Right away everyone became a real creative group that started sharing ideas and enjoying the creative process. I hope Tom would have more workshops, consistently

Absolutely fantastic comedy course. I’ve always loved comedy and being dying to look into trying out writing properly. I have zero experience apart from a few notes here and there. Comedy Lab has given me the tools and an amazing insight into how to write and perform comedy. Tom was an incredible teacher and John had some amazing insights into writing for a living and what works in the industry. I will be looking to follow up with them and getting onto another course.

Such a fantastic experience doing Tom's Stand-up course! he really helped me refine my material and find great new ways to come up with and develop new jokes! Definitely recommend doing his course even if you are a new or seasoned comic!
