Tucked away underground, this place has a bit of a gritty, no-frills vibe. The air carries a mix of popcorn and beer, which makes sense, since they do serve popcorn! The bar is sensibly priced, and they’re happy to take walk-ins, which is always a bonus. If you’re looking for an affordable night out, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I had a great time when I went, though I can’t guarantee the calibre of comedians on any given night, it’s a bit of a lucky dip. That said, I had a lot of laughs and would happily recommend it.
Came last night. 3 really good acts, much better than I expected. Didn't mind the diveness of the bar but the women's toilet was leaking and the whole place smelt like urine 🤢 I had to keep my scarf over my nose for the majority of the show
We came last night and it was our first time. The acts were varied and some better than others but that’s what it’s all about, variety. Two acts were hilarious, especially the last act, Sarah from Liverpool. I couldn’t breathe she was that funny. It was a cheap night, good venue and we will definitely be back but maybe not sit on the front row again 🤣🤣🤣
