Customer Reviews
I would like to sincerely thank Ronan for checking me in so smoothly, and Yasin and Daniel for their excellent service throughout my stay. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made a real difference to my experience. A special thank you to Yasin for kindly helping me extend my check-out by an extra hour, I truly appreciated that gesture. The level of customer service shown by these young men was outstanding. The room was very clean, the hotel breakfast was great, and everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be coming back again and highly recommend this hotel to others. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.
We had a two night stay here whilst visiting Salford Quays. The hotel is very well situated within a nice quayside 10 minute walk of all the vibrant shops, restaurants and bars. We were warmly welcomed by Ronan, the duty manager and Declan, a new member of staff. They sorted out adding an extra night onto our booking and ensuring we got the same room. They also very kindly sourced some additional coat hangers which were needed by me as I was appearing on a quiz show and had forgotten to bring them! They were the only staff on duty the night we arrived and between them were running the reception desk, the bar, the kitchen and everything else! Incredibly hard working and unflappable young men who I really hope are valued by Holiday Inn management as they are going over and above to make customers stays good ones. A real credit to the company. |Our room was directly opposite the lift, which we thought would be problematic, but I can honestly say we both slept really well and were not disturbed by any noise from the lift. |Breakfast was included and there was a really decent selection of food and drink on offer. The staff running the restaurant were excellent and they kept fully on top of clearing and wiping tables as well as replenishing all the food as soon as it was running low. |The bed room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean. |This is not a luxury hotel and if you want individual glass jars of branded jams and marmalades for breakfast and a fancy coffee machine in your room then it’s definitely not for you. But if you’re looking for a clean , well situated and very reasonably priced place to stay in Salford Quays with the nicest most friendly and helpful staff ever then this is most definitely the place for you! We would 100% return.
While I’m a frequent visitor to Salford Quays, this was my first—and definitely my last—stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Despite a few positives, the lack of cleanliness and poor room design made for an incredibly uncomfortable night. The Issues: Cleanliness & Comfort Hygiene: I spent the entire evening finding black, curly hairs throughout the room (bathroom floor, shower, and even under the duvet). It felt like a disgusting game of "whack-a-mole." To make matters worse, the toilet had been used and not flushed prior to my arrival. Room Condition: The carpets are heavily stained, giving the room a very "shabby" and uninviting feel. Lighting: The fire exit sign above the door is incredibly bright. It felt like sleeping under a sunbed or at the Blackpool Illuminations. If you need darkness to sleep, this isn't the place for you. The Positives Location: Excellent access to the city center (£9 Uber or a very cheap tram ride nearby). The View: Fantastic views of Old Trafford—a real treat for Manchester United fans. Breakfast: The morning meal was lovely with a solid selection of options. Final Verdict The breakfast and view don't make up for the lack of sleep and the "zombie" feeling the next morning. If you’re staying in the area, do yourself a favor and walk two minutes across the water to the Premier Inn. You'll get the same views and location, but without the stains, hairs, and permanent "night light."
