A beautifully inspiring space! What pulled me into this FatFace store wasn’t just the clothes but the vibe. Tucked on the ground floor of the Trafford Centre, near Footasylum, Timberland and Swatch, this spot has a raw, artistic energy: old wooden walls, earthy textures, and tones that feel warm and grounded. It’s the kind of place that sells clothes as much as it tells a story. As an artist, I felt right at home. The layout, the mix of colours, the rustic furniture — everything felt curated with care. It actually made me start rethinking how I want to set up my own studio. I didn’t plan to buy anything, but I left with a beautiful jumper that felt like it belonged in a painting. The staff were easygoing, friendly, and allowed us to interact freely with space, which I loved. This wasn’t just a shopping trip; it was a little spark of inspiration.

Staff bullying? Was browsing in store and heard two of the female attendants discussing some of the clothing items (one ginger with braces and one blonde) obviously in their own little catty world not bothering with any of the customers, stood guarding the empty changing rooms like trolls. A male colleague wandered over and said “oh I’ve just bought X too” to which one of the girls reply was a very condescending sounding “yeah… haha… walk away slowly”. To which he turned away and sighed with a look of dejection and disgust at this reply. Maybe it’s staff banter, but from his face I certainly didn’t think so. Perhaps they should go home and braid each other’s pigtails and engage in other activities reflective of their mental ages rather than work in customer facing roles? Again … it may have been a joke but need to be really careful how it comes across, regardless .

on my visit this evening the staff working in the shop were standing discussing beer and the football I'm partially sighted and I was struggling to see the price on a shirt. In the end a staff member did help but this wasn't without me making it known that I was in need of assistance.
