Customer Reviews
This is an absolute gem to Urmston and to Greater Manchester itself. The Italian Job maintains a strong, authentic Italian experience with bustling atmosphere and fantastic food. The staff are friendly as ever and chat with you, and if you’re a regular (like us) then you’re Esentially family. With incredibly fast service for how busy they get, and a fantastic price for the quality and quantity of food, you really can’t go wrong. Best in Urmston, Best in Manchester.
First visit in around ten years. Service was great as always, but I ordered the pizza and it was awful. It used to be fantastic, really authentic. This time, I would have had a better meal eating a frozen supermarket pizza. It literally tasted like an asda value pizza had been microwaved to order. Really disappointed. I'm visiting again for a relative's birthday in a few days and I really hope this review is seen before then as this used to be one of my go to dishes. The name of the game these days is authenticity, unfortunately the IJ seemed to have joined the flock and gone for convenience over quality. Local takeaways have done the same to maximise output. I would argue serving fewer dishes and people but at a higher quality will ensure repeat custom, higher average reviews and greater customer sentiment in the long run. Don't be afraid to stay authentically Italian.
The Italian Job is an authentic gem in Great Manchester, because authentic is also the all Italian tradition that this family-owned business carries on. We loved the atmosphere, we loved the impeccable & friendly service and, of course, we loved the food! I had the "Seabass Provençale": and it was exquisite. Great wine selection as well: we will definitely go back.
