The breakfast includes porridge and a cooked option, with staff described as helpful. The surrounding area has pubs and nightlife, making it convenient for visitors exploring the city. I stayed here for 3 nights and appreciated the location, which is near the railway station. The room is quite spacious, unlike other Ibis hotels I've stayed at before. They even allowed me to check in early at 1:13 pm, which is great! The things I don't like are the cleanliness the room is full of dust. Housekeeping is just removing the garbage in the room and fixing the bed but not even hovering the room. If you want party bars nearby this is the best place for you!!

We stayed at the ibis Carlisle City Centre whilst on our way to Gretna.||The hotel was easy to find and very central, only a five minute walk from the main station.||The road can be a little lively as its on the main street with a lot of pubs and clubs but we didn't notice too much noise from our room. ||Check in was easy and the staff were really friendly and helpful.||The rooms are a little dated and basic but for a stop off or overnight stay it had everything we needed. ||The breakfast is really good and the late checkout was very much appreciated!

I stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting family in the city centre, so the room was very much just a place to sleep and the location was ideal. The staff were welcoming on arrival and friendly throughout my stay. The room itself felt a little worn out, the bedside shelf veneer was peeling away, the floor looked like it needed a deep clean around the edges and the bathroom sink was incredibly slow to drain. I used the stairwell rather than the lift and there was something unidentifyable in the corner on one of the landings for the duration of my stay. On the final morning of my stay I was woken by people in the coridoor around 5:45am who banged on my room door. I understand that staff can't monitor the behaviour of other guests but it worried me as a solo traveller that I had no way to contact reception if I needed to. I did not feel that the staff were particularly empathetic when I explained to them what had happened.
