I really don't know where to begin! What an absolutely beautiful place. On arrival at the front of the property the outside was stunning with Autumn bushes and decorations. The Cartref is a self serve check in,everything was straight forward and easy. Car parking passes and instructions for my stay were left for my arrival. On entering my room I was blown away the attention to detail was outstanding. I was greeted by a complementary tray of goodies plus toiletries and a comfy bathrobe. A foot spa was also in my room,plus hot water bottles should I require them but the room was cosy and warm so no need. The bathroom was something else multi coloured lighting in the shower cubical, luxury toiletries and very clean. There was a hard backed book in the room with plenty of information, emergency numbers,doctors, places to visit and eat ect (nice touch ). Free WiFi and a mini fridge should you require to store anything cold. Everywhere I looked there was something else the owners clearly have their guests at heart. I stayed here for one night, travelling back through Carlisle on a work trip from Scotland and what a fantastic place to stay. Melanie is a brilliant host who clearly cares about her guests having a wonderful experience. I had the single room with en-suite and was so impressed with the comfort, cleanliness and all of the little touches, like proper coffee, fancy tea, snack tray, dressing gown, lovely toiletries, I really felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel! Breakfast was also delicious. I would highly recommend staying here and I hope to be passing through again one day so I can stay again. Thanks for your amazing hospitality Melanie!
A great place to stay if visiting Carlisle. Our room was large, clean and well-equipped. Considering its central location , it was extremely quiet at night so we had a good night’s sleep followed by a hearty breakfast. Melanie is the perfect hostess with nothing too much trouble
