We had a lovely stay here this week2 pensioners and our 2adult children. Greeted by owner Ishmail with a smile Showed us to our rooms which had everything you could wish for. . Kettle hairdryer and toiletries WIFI and parking. He even ordered our Nepali curry and set a table for us in dining room . How on earth he recalls your name and asks you if you had all you needed was such a personal touch . Would definitely recommend this hotel. Oh and breakfast was amazing. Lots of choice if vegetarian . I just wish we could have had more time as daughter’s graduation took our time. Short walk to town centre and after a long day relax watching some TV . Highly recommend
Do not trust these people. Do not risk it! I booked a room for one night to attend a big annual event in Carlisle, i booked early (a year ahead) knowing all central hotels can quickly get filled. They tried to cancel on me once, Booking.com's support called them on it. A couple of months later, when all central Carlisle hotels are now fully booked, they cancelled on me again and this time they stuck to their guns. They "were no longer able to honour the booking" while on Booking.com.com what had been sold out now showed just one room available... at more than five times the original price! Every other hotel is now booked. They have royally screwed me over in the most shallow and obvious way. Do not trust these people. Do not risk it!
Called at 9pm in a panic looking for a room for my son for the night as trains were terminating in Carlisle due to a storm. Not only did they have a room available , the owner was very accommodating as he was arriving at the Lodge within 10 minutes. Great service. The room was spotless, my son was directed to local places to grab something to eat and he thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating. Thank you
