Rooms in main building were a bit dated. Attention is needed to bath area which can only be seen from in the bath. Like round the tap area etc. However comfy bed. Additional pillows. We took advantage of the £26.99 unlimited breakfast and 2 course evening meal deal. And free drink. Great food, varied menu. Slight supplement on some items like a larger steak in the mixed grill. Staff were friendly, accommodating and and above and beyond welcoming. Excellent value for money. Nice and quiet location rigjt by the motorway junction and short walk into city centre.
As Carlisle United season ticket holders we use this premier inn very often and have done for many years, it’s a stones throw to Brunton Park, which is perfect for us, however the location wouldn’t be so good if you are hoping to stay near the city centre, approx 1.5 miles away. The staff in the hotel and the bar next door are all lovely people. Big shout out to Caron on reception, she’s so nice and always goes that extra mile, nothing is too much trouble for her and she always greets us with a warm and welcoming smile, she’s worth her weight in gold. Some of the room are looking a bit tired, nothing a lick of paint wouldn’t fix, nothing major. The rooms are always clean with a very comfy bed, extra pillows if required, tea and coffee available with extras in reception should you need them.
During my stay at this hotel, everything exceeded expectations. The English breakfast buffet was more than satisfactory, offering a broad selection of well-prepared items. The staff were consistently welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. Before arriving, I had some reservations after reading a few very negative reviews among the many positive ones. However, none of those concerns reflected my own experience. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were all well above standard. In short, the hotel delivered on every front, and I will certainly return in the future.
