People telling you to “ignore the bad reviews” must either be bots or have some kind of stake in this place, because this is hands down one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve had better experiences in budget hostels at a fraction of the price. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with an overwhelming smell, a combination of strong body odour and stale curry that’s being cooked at the bar but not even served to guests. It’s honestly grim. Then there are the uninvited guests. And no, I don’t mean noisy neighbours, I mean rats. Large rats. Scratching in the walls all night, keeping you awake, and on one occasion one even made it into my room. Try getting any sleep after that. Unfortunately, I stayed multiple nights, so this wasn’t a one-off experience. To top it all off, the hotel appears to double as a place for £ex work, with rooms clearly being used at all hours depending on when clients book. Save yourself the money, the stress, and the sleepless nights. Do yourself a favour and stay well clear of this absolute cesspit.
Husbands 60th birthday party. The staff were so helpful they even helped to decorate the room. The buffet was very well presented. Staff even helped us pack food away to take home at the end of the party
What an awful experience. Drug addicts walking down the passage. Drunk people in and out! The room was clean but it smelled of cigarettes. The head board was broken and the bed was rock hard. The breakfast was discusting. Mostly microwaved. I couldn’t eat anything. Such a waste of money and very scary experience. The photos are not what the hotel looks like and there is a smell of stale oil through out the property. All through the night every 15 minutes the pipes would make an awful noise so sleep was not an option! Very disappointed. Big waste of money!!!
