About
A recently refurbished pub with a modern interior, serving a varied menu that includes nachos with chilli beef, fish and chips, and Cumberland sausage. There are pizzas and light bites like homemade pork scratchings with apple sauce, alongside a selection of ales. Outdoor seating has heaters, and dogs are welcome. The menu features eclectic dishes, with some opting for smaller plates over mains.

Visited late afternoon so quiet. Place is modern inside rather than traditional and very clean and tidy inside. Little cold as no fire going and the door is right next to the tables in the small bar area. More seating around the corner though. Outside rear looks great for the summer and has a canopy with lots of seating. Food was 10/10 I had the lamb kofta flat bread and my wife the tuna mayo jacket potato. Chips are possibly the best you’ll try away from a chippy.
Last year when we visited the pub was being refurbished and was closed. We think there are new owners as the menu has completely changed, and now the outside seating area has heaters. We had the nachos with chilli beef, the chilli beef was like you get on pizzas, cheese sauce, salsa, jalapeños and sour cream, which we asked not to be included. I had the lamb koftas on a flatbread with feta, salad, mint dressing, and pickled vegetables, we also ordered the skin on chips, but we didn't need these all, as the main meals have generous portions . Food came quickly and was piping hot, dog friendly throughout, staff very helpful and welcoming 🙏 No specials advertised except the mulled wine which smelt amazing, good choice of ales, I had the Robinsons Unicorn bitter, a smooth session ale, good selection of wines, Chardonnay was fresh and crisp, just off the main street in Keswick, worth seeking out, entertainment on some evenings as well.
Stopped off here for food and drinks. It was busy but there was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It was easy to talk and enjoy the pub. The beer was great and refreshing. My fish and chips was very filling and tasty with a great portion size. Would recommend and return.
