Have you ever been to heaven? I have, and it's in the Bush. Great value, good company, and perfect pub atmosphere. On a quiet night, we all go down to Billy Bowman's, grab a few instruments and have a jam in the beer garden. Dog friendly, and if you ever need some hockey coaching then just chat with the landlord!
I visited the busy yesterday for Sunday lunch with my mam who was visiting Cockermouth and my two children. It was busy and not many places doing food, Tim who was front of house was very accommodating and found us a table. My mam is lactose intolerant and vegetarian but they went above and beyond to serve a roast dinner she was able to eat although there was a lot of changes to be made. The food itself was beautiful the meat was tender and the portion size was very generous and extremely well cooked. We all enjoyed it thoroughly and even my two picky eating children. Highly reccomend will definitely be back thank you Tim and Paula for great food and great service!
Sunday in England visiting from Australia we were on a mission to find a good Sunday roast. A delicious roast is what we found YUM. Such value for money and Paula was a lovely host. Highly recommend this establishment, what a little gem. Apart from the roast I was so surprised when entering the female toilets. So clean and quirky. They even had hand cream, deodorant, sanitary items all complimentary. For an Aussie, this Pub gave us a true English experience. 10/10
