Customer Reviews
I have used this hotel several times before a morning flight from Manchester Airport. It's a good hotel, you always get a friendly welcome, and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The only drawback is the excessive light that gets into the room from outside, even when the curtains are closed. This needs to be corrected.
Dreadful experience. Rude , disinterested, unhelpful ,unkind. Having booked through Booking.com for a pet friendly hotel we received a confirmation email from booking.com . We arrived in the dark on a stormy winter Friday evening and handed over our credit card and went to get our dog. The receptionist then announced they did not take dogs. We asked for a refund, this was not forthcoming . The receptionist "Didn't know how to do this." and then when we asked to speak to the manager he was not available until Monday. She could do nothing we would have to speak to Booking .com.||She did nothing. No help to find somewhere else, no suggestions , no kindness, just dismissal, nothing. We were left with no accommodation in the dark in an unfamiliar city. ||We contacted Booking.com they agreed there had been an error in communication between the hotel and themselves and they had contacted the hotel to ask for a refund for us. The hotel refused and we were left out of pocket. We were prepared to pay for one night but the second night did have 24hours notice. Nothing. It would seem this hotel group care for profit above service. DREADFUL. ||To make matters worse we got an email from the hotel "Hoping we had enjoyed our stay and offering us 10% of our next stay"!!!!!!! You couldn't make it up. They couldn't email to let us know they didn't take dogs but they can send us another offer on accommodation. needless to say we declined the offer. I would not stay in The Norman Hurst or any Trivelles Group hotel.
Room was very dirty. Carpet full of stains. Bathroom was full of black mould. Had a microwave in the room witch i could not dare to put anything in. Hallway was absolutely disgusting.. come on people its a nice building but you can do so much better. Seriously 😳
