Returned to St.Ann's Social Centre following firstly the Requiem Mass at St.Anns then the cremation in Stockport. It was a very cold day but the centre was warm and welcoming the buffet had a great variety of hot and cold food and the bar and staff couldn't be faulted they even put on some lively music to add a sense of uplifting to the sad occasion which everyone agreed my auntie would have wanted! I would definitely recommend the centre to anyone whatever the occasion.
St Ann’s is a lovely social centre. There is a large car park with disabled parking and ramped access. There is a large disabled toilet indoors and the centre is all on one level. The function room is large; with a stage and large wooden dance floor. There is also a licensed bar and smaller snug room just off the main function room; perfect for serving buffets. There is a second function room at the back of the centre with a games machine, pool table and reasonably priced bar. There is a gated outside area at the back of the centre, perfect for bouncy castles or barbecues. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and Siobhan, the manager, is very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this centre - it is perfect for anyone with any mobility issues and for any type of function (the centre is very near to Stretford Cemetery and not too far from Southern Cemetery for wakes). There is live music every Sunday.
Nice welcoming club. Nice hall for parties. Bar area is like a living room but I like that. Staff are pleasant.
