We came for 1 night, simply not expecting a great deal. But sadly our experience was terrible, when we woke up In the morning we found that we had a freezing cold shower, with no one to call or speak to about. But worst of all was the service, we tried calling the place and reasoning on why we had a cold shower and some compensation. Yet they responded “it’s not our fault the boiler was broken, if I was there I would have sorted it.” They preceded every time we spoke to them to cut us off half way through our conversations and the manager was very rude beyond belief. This is the first review really of a place I’ve ever had to give, I am a very fair and reasonable person. But how they spoke was out of order; in the end there was no apology and didn’t even give us chance to speak to them. I wouldn’t advise staying here for both the quality we were given of the rooms but also the absolute joke of a customer service was provided!

We stayed here overnight as a way to break up a long journey. Firstly the lady behind the bar was lovely - really friendly as were the locals. It's a short walk into town/to sainsburys. However, the Ibiza sound tracks that went on til gone midnight was not so good. It was so loud, the floor in the bathroom vibrated. The WiFi didn't work, and the mixer tap shower predominantly ran cold. You couldn't deadlock the bedroom door so anyone with a key could come in. Subsequent to booking you're advised you have to pay an additional £10 for the dog (£60 if you don't warn them you're bringing the dog!). Which if your dog is muddy or sleeps all over the bed may seem fair - ours slept by the door in his own bed and didn't budge and doesn't moult. The rooms could do with a clean - I had someone's mascara on my pillow. But honestly if you need sleep on a long journey it's somewhere to put your head!
