We visited Merienda when we were staying in Keswick for a few days. The restaurant, staff and food were excellent. I had the pasta with steak and mushrooms, the missus had the lamb burger… both meals were delicious and pretty generous portions. We’ll definitely be back in the future 👍
I’ve eaten at Merienda twice in two days - once by accident, the second time entirely on purpose. Both evenings were spot-on. The food? Just gorgeous. The pan-fried scampi was so good I nearly applauded. The onion and spinach bhajis - proper flavour, crispy perfection, and not a drop of grease in sight. For mains, I had the Caesar Salad one night and the salmon with vegetables and mash the next. Both dishes were an absolute poem - beautifully cooked, balanced, and seasoned with what I can only assume is actual joy. 🫶🏻 Service was friendly, calm and charmingly understated; no nonsense, just people who clearly care about what they’re doing. Honestly, every penny well spent. A little gem in Keswick. If I lived here, I’d be in trouble - I’d eat here every night. 🥇
We stopped in for brunch whilst visiting Keswick. There was the choice of a breakfast or brunch menu at that time. There was also a kids menu, though our kids preferred to order from the main menu. The staff were attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. The drinks arrived very quickly and the food also came within a very reasonable time and was clearly freshly prepared. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
