A brand new addition to Keswick and one I was very happy to try. Very glad I did, as the food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Top notch. Not the cheapest place to eat but quality never is and for what you are served it is good value. Top quality food, served well in a great atmosphere (even the music fitted perfectly). Amuse Bouche was a steak popcorn tart. A real salted popcorn hit, surprising but a great start Main event. Sirloin, medium rare. Chips (of course, no pretension here), mushroom with caramelised onions. A sweet onion contrast with the earthy mushrooms. Steak was fantastic, succulent and full of flavour. Everything was pre-seasoned, nothing extra needed. Dessert. Salted caramel and apple cheesecake. Worth turning up for on its own. This will now be a regular feature on my Lake District holidays. I always try to support local businesses when away, and when it's this good it's an easy choice.
A beautiful family owned restaurant. My partner and I enjoyed delicious locally sourced steaks cooked just to our liking. It was booked for my birthday and they made my birthday very special! Great selection of drinks of which the spiced apple sidecar was a firm favourite. Desserts that hit the spot. Highly recommend this new gem for anybody looking for a special evening.
We visited Steaks of the Lakes while we were staying in Keswick for a few days… we’re so glad we did! The restaurant and staff were brilliant and the steaks we had (ribeye) were cooked to perfection and delicious. We had mac and cheese on the side, it’s the best mac and cheese we’ve had! We’ll be back in the future 👍
