About
A historic harbour landmark dating back to the 18th century, Old New Quay was originally built for shipping coal and later extended. After decades of restricted access, recent renovations have opened it to the public with improved walkways and information panels about its maritime past. The quay overlooks the harbour with views across the water, serving as a stopping point for visitors exploring Whitehaven’s waterfront history. Nearby parking and dockside dining options make it a practical spot for those interested in the area’s industrial heritage.
