We stayed at the Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester from 28/12/25 to 2/1/26, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, with thoughtful amenities such as cookies, tea bags, coffee and bottled water. Housekeeping were excellent – the room was serviced daily, and towels were replaced regularly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. On a rainy day they even offered us umbrellas, which was a particularly thoughtful touch. Breakfast was a real highlight: a generous buffet with a wide range of options including sausages, scrambled and fried eggs, omelettes, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, salads, juices, yoghurts, milk, various breads, muffins, cereals, croissants, Danish pastries, tea and coffee. Everything was fresh, tasty and well-presented. We also enjoyed dining at the hotel restaurant in the evenings. The green curry chicken quickly became my favourite dish – it was so good I ordered it twice during our stay. The location is excellent, with easy access to major attractions and public transport. From the airport, it is simple to take a train to Manchester Piccadilly Station and then use the free bus (Route 1 or 2), getting off near the Opera House – the hotel is just a short walk from there. Overall, the Marriott Victoria & Albert is an excellent choice for comfort, convenience and warm hospitality in the heart of Manchester. We would highly recommend it.

We first stayed at this hotel in March 2025 and absolutely loved it, so we booked again for two nights (1st–3rd December). When we arrived, the staff were just as lovely as we remembered. We were even given the option to choose between floor 3 or 4, and we decided on the 4th. When we got to the room, it was clean and very nice, but it wasn’t the same style as the room we had on our first visit. We had really come back for that exact cosy vibe from before. We couldn’t remember the floor or room number, but I went down to reception to ask if there was any chance of getting something similar. The lady at reception was amazing — she happily showed me all the available rooms and let me pick the one I preferred. I’m forever grateful because she went above and beyond to help. I personally love the rooms with the low wooden ceilings and small windows, but they have lots of different styles to choose from. We also booked breakfast again, which was buffet style with plenty of options, and we enjoyed it just as much as last time. Overall, another great stay with absolutely brilliant staff. We’ll definitely be returning!

Lovely hotel, great location and easy to get in and out of Spinningfields with an abundance of bars and restaurants close by. Lovely bar also although it was uncomfortably hot - we left after one as were too warm. Upgraded to a lovely huge room, again rather warm but slept with the windows open all night - unheard of in December! The room was quite dark but it’s a lovely building and we had a nice evening staying here. Great check out time of 12noon too.
