Customer Reviews
Absolutely beautiful place to stay, lovely hosts (thank you again for helping me with my van!), and breakfast was perfect. Couldn't fault anything!
Great location for walking into & around the town. Initially I was concerned about potential road noise due to the location but no issues with traffic noise at all overnight. There was parking onsite, although if you wanted to come & go it would be challenging unless you were the last to enter the parking area.||Friendly hosts, willing to chat & make you feel comfortable & at home.||The bedroom was compact but not cramped. The ensuite bathroom was very modern, with shower, toilet & basin. Toiletries & hair dryer were provided with lovely thick towels.||The bed & pillows were comfortable. It was nice to actually have a top sheet rather than just a doona/quilt. The positioning of the TV was slightly awkward for viewing.||The hospitality tray in the bedroom was exceptionally well stocked. Snacks, biscuits, bottled water, specialty teas, decaf tea/coffee & drinking chocolate.||The breakfast was extensive from cereals, freshly cut fruit, yoghurt. There was an option for a cooked breakfast also.||The hosts appear to take great pride in their guesthouse, both internally & externally. The property was very clean, nicely decorated & well maintained.||Overall, very happy with our stay & would highly recommend to others.
Had a single night in Penrith en route from Scotland to Manchester. A wonderfully warm welcome from the hosts, a beautifully appointed room, and a great location a short walk from pubs and restaurants, and probably the best breakfast I've had in a hotel or guest house. A shame we only had one night there, we've already been recommending it to friends looking for somewhere to stay in the north west of England, and we hope to go back too!
