Comfy room, good food - loved the beetroot salad! Great laid back atmosphere in the communal areas. Didn't use the spa but looked good through the windows. Helpful, happy staff. Only one criticism is the shower is very poor. Low pressure. Could do much better. Everything else I'd rate A to A+!
Hotel is lovely, public areas and bedrooms are excellent quality. Staff are helpful. Apart from another resident had charged their drinks bill to my room and the staff asked me for proof I hadn’t ordered the drinks which seemed inappropriate and delayed my check in. Spa access is not included in price, costs an additional £15 for 24 hrs. The facilities are excellent though, the best gym I’ve seen in a hotel. Penrith is lovely. Definitely recommend.
Stayed here last week for a catchup with my friend. The hotel was lovely and the spa and gym area is really nice. Gym is well equipped and spa was nice and quiet. The room was nice and comfortable. Shower was great! It was just unfortunate there was a lot of building work going on at the hotel and we were not informed of this prior to arrival. If we had known, we may have chosen to go somewhere else. The building work started at 8am in the morning and woke us up, we were there to relax to wasn’t expecting to be woken up by drilling. I would definitely return once the building work has been completed.
